“Lydney is an important gateway to the Forest of Dean and we want to reach out to the people of the area and say we are here to help.”

Three established Gloucestershire companies have opened a new shared office hub serving the people and businesses of the Forest of Dean.

Tayntons Solicitors, the largest Gloucester-based law firm, has linked up with chartered accountants Griffiths Marshall and Quayside Wealth Management.

They have together opened a shared office hub in a former bank building at 20, Newerne Street, Lydney and recently hosted a special launch event attended by local business people and the Deputy Mayor of Lydney, Cllr Brian Pearman.

Paul O’ Flynn, who heads Tayntons Forest Legal and lives in Lydney, said: “Lydney is an important gateway to the Forest of Dean and we want to reach out to the people of the area and say we are here to help.

“There is tremendous potential in the Forest of Dean at the moment and we want to support both businesses and private clients. We are in a position to offer a wide range of legal services here in the Forest without people having to travel outside of the area.

“To have Tayntons, Griffiths Marshall and Quayside together under one roof will enable each of our businesses to grow.”

Ian Price, Managing Partner of Griffiths Marshall, said the company’s services cover all aspects of accounting and auditing across a wide range of clients, from sole traders to multi-million pound corporations.

While Griffiths Marshall has consolidated some of its functions in Gloucester it was key for the company to retain a strong presence in the Forest.

Mr Price said: “We are delighted that Tayntons Solicitors and Quayside Wealth Management are now co-located with us at our Lydney office and we strongly believe this strengthens the overall professional offering in the area, which we remain committed to.”

Alex Kell, Principal of Quayside Wealth Management said: “We have an office in central Gloucester and have always supported the Forest of Dean area. Having a second office in Lydney offers an alternate location for our clients and we hope it will give us the opportunity to support more individuals and businesses with their financial planning requirements.

“We have close relations with Griffiths Marshall and Tayntons solicitors and for us, the move signifies how important it is we offer a service to our clients where we can lean on the support of other professionals that have services that complement our own. It should be a very exciting venture.”

Hundreds of new homes are being built in Lydney and with tolls being scrapped on the Severn Crossings later in the year the economic outlook for the area is looking bright.

Cllr Brian Pearman said the opening of the new office hub was an excellent step for Lydney.

“It really is a positive sign,” he said. “It is about providing services to the residents and businesses of the area. To have this presence in the town has to be good for Lydney.”
