The county’s biggest business event is taking place at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday May 17 and Thursday May 18

With last year’s show attracting record attendance of 4,000 visitors, organisers have seen a strong demand for exhibitor space for the 2017 show.

The event was launched in February with representatives from the county’s businesses enjoying a brunch event and an evening party at The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum in Cheltenham.

Speaking at the launch event, Gerald Crittle, from business support and improvement company G Acceleration, said: “We keep hearing in the media about the skills shortage, the skills gap and productivity issues.

“It’s no good just talking about the problems – what are we going to do about them? What better place to bring education and business together to share ideas than the Gloucestershire Business Show. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to make connections and build business relationships, while delegates can enjoy free entry for all or part of each day - or book for the full two-day extravaganza.

Rachel Jones, Head of Communications for GBS17, said: “The show is more than an exhibition space, we have developed an event programme in dialogue with numerous businesses from across the county and beyond, who know exactly what are the hot topics and talking points within their sectors.

“The content for the show is very much driven by businesses for businesses, which we believe is at the heart of the show’s success.”

Attractions at the GBS17 will include:

An exhibition floor with more than 130 exhibitors across a diverse range of business, charities and not-for-profit organisations.

The Innovation Theatre programmed with events looking at innovation as a process and culture.

The Business Advice Centre with a team of highly-experienced advisors and mentors.

The Creative Suite with a programme of talks and activities looking at the relationship between the arts and business.

Zoned areas exploring themes around food and farming, science and technology, digital security and professional development.
