The SWLEP is recruiting local business leaders to join their Board to increase its strategic leadership capacity and support our activities in growing our local economy

The Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership is keen for its board to reflect Swindon and Wiltshire’s diversity and so welcomes applications from everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability. They are particularly keen to hear from women and people who are BAME.

The SWLEP are embarking on an exciting period of change and opportunities and have recently incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee. Working in partnership with local businesses and Government, they are developing their Local Industrial Strategy. This will set out to Government how Swindon and Wiltshire can help the UK lead the global technology revolution by tackling the four Grand Challenges facing the country. The Local Industrial Strategy will focus on future-oriented, productive business sectors which are embracing technology and are offering the prospect of a growth in high-value jobs.

The SWLEP board membership is voluntary; with claimable expenses. This fresh round of board recruitment is for a membership period of three years. Successful candidates will need to make a commitment to dedicate approximately two working days per month to cover regular Board meetings and working groups.
