Ranking as one of the UK’s top property consultancies, Strutt & Parker opened its newest office in Summertown, North Oxford.

Oxford is the 50th office for Strutt & Parker which is able to offer experienced Development and Planning advice as a complement to its more traditional and highly regarded Estate Agency and Farming & Land Management services.

Operating from a new open plan office, the Development and Planning team specialises in residential development and has an excellent reputation in the planning, acquisition and disposal of development land, acting for many local private land owners and developers.

Miles Collison who heads up the development consultancy said: “Although we are new to Oxford, we are certainly not new to Oxfordshire. The whole team has in-depth knowledge of the local area and we are well connected with our long-established neighbouring offices in Banbury, Cirencester and Moreton-in-Marsh. We believe we can offer something different to people in the Oxford area and look forward to establishing ourselves as a firm favourite in this fast-moving and thriving market.”

Miles has seen a significant increase in activity and is looking forward to a busy 2014. “Through hard work on the development and planning side of the business, we are winning some fantastic instructions and have seen very definite signs of growth in the land market. The Government’s drive to build, initiatives such as ‘Help to Buy’, and a general freeing up of finance, have stimulated activity and house-builders are strongly back in the market.”

Miles works closely with his colleague Mike Robinson who heads up the Oxford planning team. Mike is a Partner and chartered town planner with over twenty years of experience, gained in both private and public practice in the area. He has been involved in a number of high profile projects ranging from major town developments to village housing schemes.

Mike, who lives near Stow-on-the-Wold, said: “It is great to be part of Strutt & Parker’s Oxford office which is full of a refreshing enthusiasm and has innovative approach to the property sector. If you are seeking either professional planning or development advice then we would be delighted to hear from you.”
