Pets at Home in Exeter is aiming to raise vital cash for kitties at its fundraising event for Cats Protection on the weekend of 21 – 23 March

During the weekend Pets at Home in Exeter will be offering customers the chance to ‘Round up to a Pound’ at the till, selling Cats Protection trolley coins as well as taking further donations for the charity at the till.

Cats Protection’s Axhayes Adoption Centre will also be in Pets at Home, Rydon Lane Retail Park on 21st, 22nd and 23rd March 2014 and will be holding a store collection and children’s quiz. They will also be giving away children’s cat masks, car stickers, bookmarks, stickers, badges and coasters in return.

{Add in any further details about the event – e.g. what’s involved, any celebrity guests, any activities involved etc and please amend the free giveaways if you are not taking some of these}

Ric Brown, PR Officer for the Friends of Axhayes Group, who help raise funds and support the adoption centre said: “We’re very excited to be taking part in this fundraising weekend. We hope lots of cat lovers will come along as it will help raise some much needed funds to help us care for unwanted cats.”

The Exeter Axhayes adoption centre currently has approx. 180 cats awaiting a second chance in life. One such cat is Fantasia. Fantasia has been at the centre for over 120 days. She is a lovely 3 year old classical black sweetheart who arrived at the centre back in November. Like lots of cats she was found living outside and some kind people took pity on this poor little girl and realised that she needed a new loving home. Fantasia has seen many other cats leave the centre for their new homes and she still sits looking out from her pen, patiently waiting for her turn.
