Noirwich is a new crime writing festival celebrating some of the sharpest contemporary writing.

Henry Sutton, senior lecturer in creative writing at University of East Anglia, and co-founder of Noirwich, says: “Crime fiction is the most popular literary genre on the planet. From the darkest psychological thrillers to the most puzzling and innovative police procedurals, from pure noir to pure entertainment, the emphasis will be on the writers who have and who are making the biggest impacts.”

The programme includes talks by bestselling authors and workshops where writers can get together to sharpen plots and deepen suspense.

Noirwich, a collaboration between the Crime Writers’ Association, the University of East Anglia, Waterstones and Norwich Writers’ Centre, runs from Wednesday, September 10 to Sunday, September 14.
