More than 300 people attended the Project Taunton Open Day at The Brewhouse yesterday to view plans, ask questions and listen to presentations. Visitors arrived throughout the day until doors shut at 8.30pm – people attending were given the new Project Taunton map outlining the regeneration areas and describing what changes they will see in the future.

Particular highlights during the day were the presentations given by the Project Taunton team, the plans for the Third Way and Northern Inner Distributor Roads, discussions about the progress at Firepool and the visuals of the new hotel planned for the cricket club.

Ian Franklin, Project Director for Project Taunton, said: “We were really pleased to see so many people at the event - we’re always keen to share information with the public and answer questions and this was a great opportunity to do just that.”

If you were unable to attend the event but would like to receive a copy of the Project Taunton map or ask questions about the regeneration, please contact the team on 01823 250 809 or visit http://www.projecttaunton.co.uk/.
