Weekends are special for the host of the BBC Radio 5 Live weekday breakfast show - here are five of her favourite things to do with the family

1. Go sledging at Tegg’s Nose, or simply walking and enjoying the view. ‘It’s great whatever the weather but we did have such fun in the snow.’

2. Go bike riding in Tatton, but not when it’s too muddy. ‘There have been times when we’ve come back caked in mud. It’s a lovely place to go but I prefer it in dry weather.’

3. Visit the Imperial War Museum North. ‘One of the most beautiful, emotional museums I have been to. I absolutely love it.’

4. Walk over the fields to the pub. ‘There’s two near us, both very different and we love spending time in them with a bag full of board games.’

5. A rare night out. ‘We don’t have many nights out but we went to the Curzon in Knutsford a few weeks ago, then went for a curry. It’s not quite a night out in Soho but we loved it.’
