Weybridge’s Brooklands Hotel was rated better than the Dorchester by high net worth members of Supercars Club Arabia, who caused a sensation when they parked up some of the world’s top marques for the launch of their Euroabia Rally.
Thanks to SCA committee member James Davis, who owns Oxshott’s Clay Hair Salon, Bahrain-based club president Shaikh Salman Bin Isa Al Khalifa and vice-president Shaikh Auf A Rahman Al Delaimi were persuaded to start and finish the 12-day rally across Europe, from the birthplace of British motoring rather than Park Lane.
The Eurobia Rally is a tour rather than a race but includes some high-octane events. SCA president Shaikh Al-Khalifa told Surrey Life he was looking forward to putting his Aventador Lamborghini through its paces on the first stop on the rally, German race track the Nürburgring.
