Hadlow College

Statistics about skill shortages plus a lack of new entrants into the agriculture and horticulture sectors are concerning governments around the world. Hadlow, one of the UK’s elite land-based colleges, held an open evening that provided opportunities to meet practising farmers from various sectors.

More than 100 people attended, many of whom are signing up for Hadlow’s fourth Fresh Start Academy. The Academy programme provides an insight into farming and includes farm visits, practical sessions and presentations by an agronomist, a vet and other professionals. Aided by sponsorship from Kent County Council, Hadlow will run the Academy in conjunction with the Laurence Gould Partnership. Registration is free.
