This eight part series features Fraser Scarfe, an artist from Lincoln, who meets up with a variety of gifted professional artists from across the country, and they paint en plein aire (outdoor) scenes. Each guest artist has chosen their favourite painting location to paint in.

In episode 2 which aired on 13 October, Fraser falls in love with the rolling Dorset landscape when he visits the home and workplace of mixed media artist Alison C. Board. He has a nosey around the farm and even finds himself face to face with some spectacular vintage tractors. Later they visit the Watford Gallery and Studio where Alison works as Gallery Shop Manager, and explore the variety of arts displayed and created there.

In episode 5 which airs on 3rd November, Fraser is back down on the farm, but this time finds himself amongst the animals when he meets up with Marilyn Allis. He explores her fast loose style as they paint some cattle and visit the seaside town of Weymouth to discover just how the hustle and bustle fuels Marilyn’s passion for watercolour.

The filming took place in Wimborne and Weymouth.

The series launches on Monday 6th October. Available to watch online at www.thepaintinganddrawingchannel.co.uk, and also on Sky Channel 192 and Freesat Channel 402, on Mondays at 5pm, repeated Sundays at 3pm.
