Next week, world renowned Padstow harbour will be bustling with a tasty Christmas food festival which celebrates the best local producers and will welcome in a host of international chefs for live demonstrations, to inspire all with their creative, culinary skills this Christmas!

Sparkling bright sky

Fireworks will illuminate the already twinkling waters of the harbour on Friday evening, and dazzling display of colourful fireworks will light up the camel estuary, which will be filled with families and friends celebrating with festive cheer. Friday 8.30pm

Visitors to the much lauded festival can also expect fun activities from the team at Sharp’s Brewery, such as Beer Bingo’ in the Festival Kitchen. Elsewhere, visitors are encouraged to seek out the brewery’s very special Secret Bar’ or for a new tasting adventure, confess their beer sins at Sharp’s Beer Confessional’

Over 40 chefs will be arriving on the harbour, over the four day festival who will be showcasing their favourite dishes and wowing foodie festival goers with live demonstrations in Sharp’s Brewery Demonstration Theatre. The freshest of Cornish produce will be sautéed, sizzling and steamed in demos by several chefs including Tom Kerridge, Fern Britton, Rick Stein, Mitch Tonks, Zack Hawke, Tom Adams, Nathan Outlaw, Clare Smyth, Brian Turn, Michael Caines and Phil Vickery

Food Forums

Visitors will have the unique chance to chat, debate and consider all things culinary with wonderful food experts and chefs. The festival food forums will include Rick Stein, Tom Parker Bowles, Tom Kerridge, Mitch Tonks and Jo Rees, Angela Hartnett, Robin and Judy Hutson and Jill Stein- Where else would you be surrounded by such astute gourmet masterminds?

Pop up stalls

The harbourside will be awash with mouth-watering aromas as the very best pop up stalls offer tasty snacks alongside an array of Sharp's Brewery's award winning beers. Tuck into wood fired pizzas at Wild Bake or burritos to warm up whilst meandering through the festival.

Dishing up a real Cornish food adventure

For those with an intrepid spirit hungry for the ultimate food adventure, Sharp’s Brewery is offering a once in a lifetime chance to delve deeply into the perfect marriage of beer and food, involving first class cuisine and award winning beer with Nathan Outlaw himself. One lucky winner (and their plus one) from amongst the Padstow Christmas Festival crowd, will be invited along on a Cornish food adventure of a lifetime. Winners will be chosen from everyone who attends either the Sharp’s Secret Bar or the Sharp’s Beer Confessional from the start of the festival until 8pm on Saturday and the lucky winner will be announced live on stage on Sunday 4th Dec.

Christmas Shopping

Fill Christmas stockings with local products and artisan treats to delight foodies, and stock your cupboards with delicious delights for any unexpected guests during the festive period. With plenty of gift ideas and inspiration on the quayside, you’ll be guaranteed a stress free Cornish Christmas.

Live performers

Soak up the festive vibe on the harbour side and enjoy some of the local entertainment as performers appear on the quayside, including Boscastle Buoys Acapella, Josh Curnow, Shipwrecks and 1940’s crooner Andy Marshall, finishing in true festive style with a Carol Service at St Petrocs Church. Sunday 6pm.

Santa Fun Run

Santa (and his elves) are coming to town! Cornwall Hospice Care’s annual Santa Fun Run & Cycle returns to Padstow Christmas Festival on Saturday 3rd December and this year’s event will be themed Santa’s Vs Elves. Participants will run as a Santa or an Elf around the one or two mile route, or cycle the camel trail from Wadebridge. Sign up here;
