Our readers share their photos from all around the largest lake in the UK
Given that Lake Windermere is over 10 miles in length, and has a water’s edge of around 26 miles in total, it comes as no surprise there are limitless photo opportunities on arguably the most popular tourist destination in the Lake Distrci.
Bowness is the ideal place take images of the many boats cruising the water. although there are many other quieter spots inbetween Waterhead on its most northern point, to Lakeside in the south.
There are also many great vantage points surrounding the lake that will give you the opportunity to take stunning panoramic shots, Orrest Head on the eastern shore is one of the more popular spots, but there many other such as Loughrigg Fell in the north.
