Our readers take in the tranquil surround of Anglezarke
Anglezarke lies inbetween White Coppice and Rivington and is famous for a series of reservoirs were originally built to supply water to Liverpool.
The area is rich in human history, a few miles from Anglezarke is Noon Hill, which is the remains of a Bronze Age burial site. In more recent times, the area was used extensively for quarrying.
These days the area has become popular with walkers looking to explore the West Pennine Moors or looking to explore the heights of Rivington Pike and Winter Hill.
