Our readers capture one of the most famous peaks in the Lake District.
Blencathra is one of the most northerly mountains in the Lakes with six separate fell tops, with the highest standing at 868-metres.
One of the famous features of Blencathra is the steep ridge called Sharp Edge, which popular with scramblers.
If you do manage to make it to the summit the views are rewarding. It is said you can see as far as the mountains of Galloway in the north and the Forest of Bowland and North Wales to the South.
And if you’re looking for a little inspiration before you make the trip, then the film Life of a Mountain: Blencathra by Terry Abraham is well worth a watch.
Why don’t you upload your Blencathra photos to the Lancashire Life reader photo gallery?
