Over 800 horses competed at Kelsall Hill equestrian centre’s horse trials.

Based at Organsdale Farm near Delamere, the weekend, which had record attendance, included royal international qualifiers and British eventing affiliated horse trials where riders competed in dressage, show jumping and cross country.

Oliver Townend on Skyhills Cavalier took first place winning the Winton Family Perpetual Trophy and £1000, and many other tops slots went to Cheshire based riders. Co-organiser of Kelsall Hill trials Jane Whitaker said: ‘We’ve had some really positive feedback from riders and spectators. It’s great to see how both really appreciate the hard work put in by all our volunteers, without who we wouldn’t be able to run.’
