You may have recognised parts of Castle Howard from the recent Victoria show on ITV, here are some images by our readers over the years.
Castle Howard has been a favourite location for filmmakers over the years, the most famous being Brideshead Revisited that was shot both as a TV series and a film.
The Castle Howard took over 100 years to build and with over a 1,000 acres on the estate, there are plenty of subjects every type of photographer to get their teeth into.
The grand interiors of the Main Hall and the sweeping corridors of the 160 foot Long Gallery are worth a look, but the paintings on the inside of the cupola are the jewel in the crown.
The gardens are just as grandiose with the iconic Atlas Fountain as the front of the house and the Temple of the four winds and several other follies. Spring and summer is a good time for the horticultural among you to catch the colourful flowers on display.
For those wanting to spend a few hours at Castle Howard, this walk around the grounds is ideal.
