The Hammond in Chester is celebrating 100 years of performance excellence

The Hammond theatre school in Chester chose a fitting way to celebate its 100th anniversary year - by staging a glamorous gala performance.

Staff and students at the renowned arts college gave a stunning performance of music and dance to showcase their talents. Former pupils who have gone on to great things - including international ballet dancer Daniel Dolan - were among the guests at the black tie occasion, alongside local dignitaries, friends and supporters of The Hammond. Since its beginnings as a dance class in 1917 under the direction of Miss Irene Hammond in the ballroom at the Grosvenor Hotel in Chester, The Hammond has provided a nurturing environment for talented young performers.

Parents, guests and friends and Hammond alumni were treated to a very special show, which featured every student in the school. w
