Warwickshire Open Studios has grown to become one of Britain’s largest exhibitions of unique and original art and craft.
June 28 to Sunday July 13 marks the 14th anniversary of Warwickshire Open Studios. It has grown to become one of Britain’s largest exhibitions of unique and original art and craft with over 320 artists and makers in 144 venues in and around the towns and villages of the leafy county.
From painting to printmaking and photography, there is plenty on offer for every taste and budget. Entry is free to all 144 venues, and there is the opportunity to speak to the artists and makers to find out more about about their craft, with many offering demonstrations and workshops.
Since 2002, Warwickshire Open Studios has helped local artists and designer makers exhibit and sell their work directly to the public from their studios and a host of other venues.
Richard & Louise Harvey, co-owners of The Richard Harvey Collection in Shipston, are hosting one of the many art exhibitions as part of Warwickshire Open Studios. During this two week period at their Chapel Showroom, the five artists exhibiting will be creating an interactive art installation in the form of a Poppy Cross. They will be collecting donations from visitors with all proceeds to be split between the Poppy Appeal and Shipston Home Nursing.
