With Show season in full swing, organisers at the Dorset County Show are busy preparing for the culmination of the Dorset Show season. The annual Dorset County Show takes place at the Dorchester Showground on 1st and 2nd September, and the Showground sits just on the outskirts of Dorchester itself, within walking distance of many.The prime location of the site gives the Show good publicity in the run up, and from early August the site slowly starts to evolve from a green field to a small town or marquees, rings and displays. Anyone driving past cannot help but notice that something is going on! This is a Dorset event that you cannot afford to miss. Everyone will be there whether it is with their prize-winning pony or bringing the children to see the beautiful animals. Gates open at 8.30am on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September.
