Eat The Devon Way is a new Food destination, organised by Passionate Food Producers from Devon (Hi-T’s Fudge, Yarty Valley Cordials and Langage Farm), with the aim of organising a different Food event from the norm. We live in the Best part of Britain and we have the Best Food here in the South West its now time to shout about it!

After attending many shows across the country we felt that it was time to do something different. We have been lucky to find a superb venue at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre near Lifton, to keep costs down we have asked all those attending to provide there own cover, we have also been fortunate enough to have some covered areas within the Fairground. We have kept the costs down as we are not out to make a profit, our time is being given free of charge. This will enable us to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West as well as providing a fair profit for local food producers, and to give new producers a chance to trade at a sensible cost.

Why will we be different? We will only have a maximum of 2 of the same producers; this means that there will be a much larger variety of products for sale for the discerning foodie. The producers will have a chance to meet the Chefs and buyers from the area at an informal party on the Sunday evening. This we hope will help the local economy in these very difficult times. We have also involved Lewtrenchard Manor, The Arundell Arms, Harris Arms and Jethros, as these were going to be venues, but with Dingles offering their facilities it was deemed sensible to hold the event at one place. The other venues will now help with the cookery demos.

Jethro will also have a comedy night on the 4th June with all proceeds also going to CHSW. Tickets available at 17.50 each.

Our aim is to fill over 80 stalls with the largest variety of produce and potentially creating one of the largest consumer Food & Drink events in the South West.

We will have a cookery demonstration area, organised by Jason Hornbuckle that will compliment the producers as well as some familiar faces (Jacques Marchal, Peter Gorton, and Jason Hornbuckle) we will also be showcasing some of the producers who will show you how to create something different from their products. We also want this to be hands on event for children, and they will be encouraged to have a go.

It will be a Fun bank holiday outing, with music, festivities and activities for all the family! ALL THE FUN OF THE FOOD.

We are being supported by Waitrose and our media partner is Devon Life.
