Nature is springing out all over the place and there’s no better time to grab your camera and head outdoors. You never know, your snap could win you a wonderful prize in our super competition.

The wonderful images submitted by Lancashire Life readers in recent weeks which have been entered into our annual hunt for county’s best amateur photographer.

You have until Friday September 22nd to get your entry in. On that day the shutters come down and our judges will begin the hard task of choosing a winner.

There are just two rules – the competition is not open to professional photographers and while the pictures can contain any subject matter – landscapes, wildlife, views or people – they must be taken in Lancashire or the Lake District.

The panel of judges will include David Parkinson from Wilkinson’s Cameras and Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell. He said: ‘Our annual competition is one of the highlights of the year. It’s wonderful to see our readers’ brilliant photographs, but a very hard job to choose a top three.’

All photographs added to our online gallery will be entered into the competition.
