This traditional agricultural event, which has developed into one of the biggest and best one-day events of its kind, is on at the Turnpike Showground, two miles north of Shaftesbury. With over 450 trade stands, exhibitors, a food hall, craft marquee and a large motoring section, there is plenty to look forward to at this year's Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show. An exciting addition this year will be a visit from the Rangemaster Cookery Theatre featuring local celebrity chef Lesley Waters. Family entertainment this year comes in the form of the Knights of the Damned Jousting Display team, whose speed, professionalism and showmanship are all hallmarks of their training for appearances on the silver screen.
