Harrogate’s Rudding Park Hotel, Spa & Golf has been voted the best hotel in the UK, second in Europe and fourth in the world in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2013.
This is the third time in the last four years the Yorkshire hotel has beaten off stiff competition from London to scoop the national accolade.
Managing director Peter Banks said: ‘Winning this national award three times in the last four years is a tremendous achievement. The fact we are also placed as a top hotel in Europe and the world is a wonderful accomplishment for the whole team.
‘Travellers might use star ratings as a guide but it is TripAdvisor where genuine travellers express their opinions. These opinions then help other members make their choice with confidence. But it also means hotels are now judged on every guest’s experience on a daily basis, so there is nowhere to hide.’
