As dusk falls over King’s Lynn, some of its most beautiful buildings are transformed into shimmering artworks of colour and light.
Every evening the town’s rich history is revealed in a lightshow glowing across the Minster, Greyfriars Tower, the Custom House, St Nicholas’ Chapel and buildings in the Tuesday Market Place and New Conduit Street. Lynn Lumiere literally highlights key moments of history, projecting stunning scenes of people, plants, patterns, rivers, seascapes, saints, ships, maps and more.
Inspired by the town’s architecture and its maritime past, Lynn Lumiere is becoming a visitor attraction in its own right. It was created by a group of French artists as part of an EU-funded collaboration between the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and the Maison de la Culture d’Amien.
Lynn Lumiere runs from dusk until 10pm until the end of the year.
