Is this the prettiest spot in the Yorkshire Dales?

Kilnsey is undoubtedly one of the Yorkshire Dales’ best hidden gems. It would be easy to miss out on this little hamlet of paradise when visiting the more well-treaded locations in the national park.

It lies on the road in between the famous tourist spots of Grassington and Kettlewell with the River Wharfe running right through it.

It’s here where you can experience all the glory of the landscape of the Dales in one small area; the large limestone cliff called Kilnsey Crag, overlooks the road and the river and the lake within Kilnsey Park is a popular fishing destination as well as the park itself which has established itself as tourist destination for families with a nature trail and farm animals.

The park has also become popular with foodies for the smokehouse and café on-site, in fact they supply their products to many of the top local restaurants and have featured in past Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards.
