The inaugural golf event hosted by the King’s School in Chester
Macdonald Portal Championship Golf and Country Club, Tarporley, welcomed 14 teams from local companies, suppliers and parents for the inaugural King’s Golf Classic event.
Hosted by the school in Chester, the day of golf was followed by a presentation dinner, enjoyed by 130 guests including special guest, retired professional snooker player, Dennis Taylor.
During the dinner, awards were presented to the winners, King’s caterers Holroyd Howe, who took the silver King’s Cup.
Runners up were Investec who took second place and Eclectic Lifestyle who finished third. An auction raised £14,500, which will be donated to the school’s Bursary Trust Fund, with a smaller amount of the proceeds going to support the new sports centre and rowing via their parents’ association.
