There is still chance to send us your best photographs of Lancashire and the Lakes - but hurry, our competition closes next month.

Entries must be with us by October 8th - that is when our judges, led by Lancashire Life picture editor John Cocks and editor Roger Borrell, will begin to decide who will receive a host of wonderful prizes from Wilkinson Cameras.

For more than 20 years the Preston-based company have been supplying top quality equipment to photographers. And they have selected three superb pieces of equipment as prizes for our 2010 competition. The winner will receive a Canon EOS 500D &EF-S 18-55 worth �600, while two runners-up will win a Canon Digital Ixus 200IS each worth �230.

And our winner will also go through to represent Lancashire in a nationwide competition with a top prize of �5,000.

The competition is only open to non-professionals and entries must be with us by October 8. All entries need to be in jpeg format at 300dpi and in as large a format as possible.

There are two easy ways to enter - you can upload your images to our website, lancashire.greatbritishlife.co.uk, or send your entries on a disc, which is non-returnable, to 2010 Photographic competition, Lancashire Life, 3 Tustin Court, Port Way, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 2YQ. We’ll also need to know your name, address, telephone number and where each shot was taken.
