On Sunday 20 December, the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain (NCO) will perform for the final time this year at their Winter Concert in Croydon’s Fairfield Halls (7pm).
Fresh from performing this summer with Vice-President Nicola Benedetti and Wynton Marsalis, the NCO under-13 Orchestra will kick things off in style. The children, conducted by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Roger Clarkson, will perform a fantastic selection including ‘Berceuse’ and ‘Finale’ from Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
Following the interval, NCO’s Main Orchestra will take to the stage with esteemed Guest Conductor Hilary Davan Wetton.
The Main Orchestra are performing an exquisite selection of music which will delight audiences of all ages; including Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture and Bernstein’s ‘Mambo’ from West Side Story.
Tickets for the concert range from £10 to £28, with £2 off for concessions and £5 tickets for under 16s. Call the box office on 020 8688 9291 or book online at www.fairfield.co.uk
