SWANAGE Art Exhibition, 26th to 27th AugustFollowing the success of Aft '07 Swanage in May, there is now an opportunity to see more exciting paintings at Art '07 Studland by the following artists: Cathy Veale, Rebecca Lardner, Annie Campbell, Carol Clarke, Rowena Faye, Gillian Bathe, Stephen John Bishop, Antonia Phillips and Paul Liggins. The exhibition, at the new village hall, is open from 10am to 6pm, with a private view on 25th August from 6pm to 8pm, to which Dorset magazine readers are welcome to attend.

WIMBORNE Craft Show, 11th-12th August Renowned for staging exciting exhibitions, Walford Mill Crafts brings visitors another winner with its CREATE show running for two days in August. CREATE, featuring unique craftwork in glass, wood, textile, metal and ceramics, will be held in the Mill's courtyard, showing the work of over 30 well-known local and national craftspeople. The exhibition is open on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Entrance costs £3 for adults, £2 for students and seniors, with under-14s free. DORCHESTER Lawrence of Arabia Exhibition Until 29th September The Man and the Myth: Lawrence of Arabia is an exhibition, currently running at the County Museum in High West Street, Dorchester, about the life of T E Lawrence. The exhibition brings together a fascinating array of letters, photographs and items illustrating the many elements of Lawrence's life. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a Brough Superior motorcycle almost identical to the one Lawrence was riding when he was fatally injured in an accident in 1935.
