The most eagerly awaited event in the Surrey Sculpture Society calendar sees the group return for another exhibition in the glorious setting that is RHS Wisley.
Once again, their sculptures will be seen making a statement on wide lawns, nestling into a rockery, beside a lake, or blending into the luxurious planting of the courtyards and borders – and even in the fabulous Glasshouse itself.
Pictured on this page are just a few of the many striking artworks that will be going on display.

A spectacular exhibition is set to end the month, as Surrey Sculpture Society presents a sculpture trail at the Royal Horticultural Society's flagship garden, Wisley. "This is the high point of the year and very popular with our members," says exhibition manager and member of Surrey Sculpture Society, Maggie Butler. "We always have a huge number of entries, but a limited number of pieces are allowed, so being selected for the event is a considerable achievement." Judiciously placed, the chosen work will line the main route to the fabulous glasshouse, itself set imaginatively at the edge of a lake. As it winds its way, the trail will take in a variety of memorable settings with sculptures selected to be in keeping with each. Society sculptors, on duty daily in their marquee just inside the garden entrance, will welcome browsers and buyers alike. This is the place to pick up a trail guide, purchase a piece or buy a card as a souvenir.
