Following the retirement of Artistic Director Julie Anne Sadie and Chairman David Goode after a wonderful decade of recitals, The Cossington Concert Trust is back with a new team and a new focus. Chaired by Stephen Bell, former Director of Music at Queen’s College Taunton, the Cossington Concert Trust will concentrate on the Cossington Young Musicians’ Fund (CYMF), which has made awards to over 60 young Somerset musicians in the past five years to a total of £20,000.

The CYMF begin the 2013 season with a Showcase Concert in Cossington Village Hall on Friday 15 March at 7.30pm by three outstanding young musicians who have benefitted from the fund. The musicians, all pupils at Wells Cathedral School, are Joseph Pritchard from Frome (‘cello), Mollie Brown from Portishead (bassoon) and Kirsty Chaplin from Wells (harp and piano).
