A 64-day cycle ride taking in the entire coast of Great Britain is coming your way - and anyone can get involved

Stage 35 of the tour enters Essex after the ride from Ipswich, Suffolk, on 7 August. Leaving Holbrook on the outskirts of Ipswich the route darts in and out of rivers and estuary that are high in numbers on this stage. Passing the Blackwater Estuary which has a real sense of coastal wilderness about it where oysters have been harvested for over a 1,000 years! Over the River Crouch and the riders will find themselves in the Essex seaside town of Southend-on-Sea, home to the world longest pleasure pier!

Stage 36 leaves the attractions of Southend on 8 August. The route follows the banks of the Thames Estuary until crossing the river in Tibury. Passing Cliffe Pools with the route arrives at the village of Hoo before crossing the River Medway. After Rochester, the stage ends in the Kent town of Chatham.
