This summer, there will be a 64-day cycle ride covering the whole coast of Great Britain. The Countrywide Great Tour is heading to Dorset...
The Dorset route
After leaving Southampton and the New Forest in Hampshire to begin stage 42, cyclists arrive in Dorset. They will not only pass through towns such as Christchurch and Bournemouth but participants will also get an amazing view of our award winning golden beaches. And they’re not finished there! The stage ends as riders begin to arrive in Poole where there’s certainly plenty to enjoy!
The Tour leaves Dorset behind on Saturday 15 August as cyclists start their trip to Seaton in Devon. But before they get there they’ll pass through Swanage and Weymouth and take in the stunning Jurassic Coast with its awe-inspiring cliffs and rock formations.
