Calling all artists. The Macclesfield Open Art Exhibition is looking for you. Taking place between November 28 and January 9, the 2015/2016 event will return to the Silk Museum and they’re encouraging all art lovers to enter their work as soon as possible.

Geoff Archer, organiser of the Open, said: ‘Last year’s exhibition was a huge success and the expectation is that this year it will be even better.’ With around 300 works expected to be submitted by artists from across the region, the exhibition, which is now in its third year, is sure to be a spectacular showcase of local Cheshire talent.

Geoff said: ‘It will be housed in the new and improved larger temporary exhibition gallery at the museum. The exhibition is open to artists of all ages, with no restrictions on subject or style. And there are prizes too!’

If you’re interested in taking part in the Macclesfield Open Art Exhibition, entry forms and guidelines will be available from the beginning of October from the Silk Museum, the Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre and all Cheshire East libraries. Submission forms will also be available to download from the Silk Museum website. Deadline dates for handing in artwork submissions will be on November 6th and 7th. w
