As Chester’s longest-running travel agent, Deva Travel has the expertise to create holidays which meet your exacting requirements, and always at a better price than you can put together yourself.

“I genuinely believe that we offer something that is impossible to get from purchasing a holiday yourself online,” says Manager of the Bridge Street Row travel agent, Alison Daniel.

“Namely: 150 years of collective travel experience available face-to-face, saving precious time and energy and doing all the hard work for you, access and knowledge to 300 different tour operators and their portfolios, sourcing all information needed prior to a trip (transport, visas, local weather forecasts, travel tips, places to visit and so on) and finally the confidence of booking with a fully ABTA and ATOL bonded travel agent which guarantees financial security.”

With this wealth of expertise, Deva Travel has the know-how to predict industry trends. So with that in mind, the Chester city centre team has put together their Top 5 Travel Trends for 2015…

1. Family travel

We’re noticing a lot more families booking with us this year, which is of little surprise given many of our travel experts are parents themselves so know the needs of families travelling with children. We believe the Government decision to fine parents who take their children out of school in term time has led to a need for expert travel advice; such as when is the best time to book to secure the best price for summer holidays. The Government’s decision to scrap Air Passenger Duty for children under 12 has given families a little helping hand when booking their annual vacations too.

2. Spain

Europe has always been Deva’s top destination and recent industry figures have shown more holidays booked to Spain than anywhere else. The great thing about Spain, and which ensures it’s always top dog, is its ability to continually offer something new and inviting for visitors; such as the luxurious new ClubLevel offering at The Ritz-Carlton, Abama in Tenerife.

3. City breaks

In the past year, ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) has noted that city breaks have made up some 42% of all types of holiday booked, and this is certainly in line with what we’ve seen. For a city break which truly has it all, we’d suggest the Big Apple; New York.

4. Abu Dhabi

As well as the, already, incredible offerings in this Emirate – such as Ferrari World, Yas Island and the Grande Mosque – there is also the opening of Louvre Abu Dhabi this year, the Sheikh Zayed Museum in 2016 and the Guggenheim in 2017.

5. Mustique

Since Cheryl Fernandez-Versini tied the knot on this tiny Caribbean island last year, it’s seen a surge in popularity. We can arrange for you to stay at Cotton House (where the X Factor judge said ‘I do’) or even the super-exclusive villa, and royal favourite; Les Jolies Eaux. The island is ideal for a wedding, romantic break or honeymoon.
