Suffolk photographer Justin Minns, whose work has appeared often on the cover of Suffolk Magazine, has earned a commendation in this year’s Landscape Photographer of the Year competition for his image, Warmth.

“I took the photo at sunrise on a wintry morning at Dunwich Heath last year,” says Justin. “I noticed that as the sun was hitting the bracken it was melting the frost to reveal the russet colour underneath almost giving it the impression that it was the warmth of the colour that was causing the thaw.

“Dunwich Heath is a favourite photography location of mine and I regularly produce images there and throughout the region for the National Trust. Last year one of my photos of Dunwich Heath in the summer was commended in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition.”

The winning landscape images are on show in an exhibition called Take a View on the concourse at London Waterloo Station from until February 7, 2016. There’s also a book available
