Lambing Live at Mrs Dowson’s

Lambing Live is in full swing at Mrs Dowson’s, the visitor centre at Hawkshaw Farm, just off the A59 at Clayton-le-Dale. The new indoor visitor barns will become a maternity ward to dozens of ewes and their baby lambs. You could also treat yourself to their famous ice-cream while you’re there.

Pace Egging and Easter Bunny Trail at Gawsthorpe Hall

On 17th April, you can experience the Lancashire tradition of Pace Egging; bring your own boiled egg, decorate then roll. On the 21st and 22nd April, you Hunt for the famous ceramic Pendelfin bunnies around the grounds of Gawsthorpe Hall.

Teddies Go Free at Muncaster Castle

In one of the north’s most spectacular setting, Muncaster Castle in the western Lakes has a special offer over the Easter weekend – children who bring their teddy bear get free entry. There will be four days of teddy-based fun including teddy-trails and also exciting craft stands and activities. The weekend’s climax is the famous Muncaster Giant Easter Egg Hunt at 12.30pm on Easter Sunday and Monday which is a highlight of the weekend.

Mini Egg Hunt in the Peter Rabbit Garden

Preston Egg Rolling

If you want to keep it traditional at Easter, head for Preston’s Avenham and Miller Parks. Avenham will host egg rolling on the hour on Easter Monday. There will also be an Easter bonnet workshop plus an opportunity to take part in the bonnet competition to win the accolade of 'Best Bonnet in Show'.
