1. Blenheim Palace...
Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Luna Cinemas are bringing an astounding line-up of films to a number of beautiful venues up and down the country, including in the grounds of the 12th Duke and Duchess of Malborough’s home, Blenheim Palace. Screenings include Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on August 10, The Greatest Showman on August 11 and the Darkest Hour, an apt setting to see Gary Oldman’s Oscar winning portrayal of Winston Churchill, on August 12.

2. ...Warwick Castle
The Luna Cinema will also bring their outdoor cinema screenings to Warwick Castle. Visitors can enjoy Star Wars The Last Jedi, Pretty Woman and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on September 12, 13 and 14 respectively in the jaw-dropping surrounds of the medieval castle.

3. Forestry Commission Beechenhurst, Forest of Dean...
Once again this year, The Al Fresco Film Company will be bringing their magical outdoor screening experience to plenty of locations in and around the Cotswolds. The Forest of Dean is one such venue for visitors to enjoy either IT on May 11 or Forrest Gump on May 12. Seeing Pennywise on screen in the depths of woodland – sounds like quite an adrenaline rush to us!

4. ...Cowley Manor, near Cheltenham...
The glorious 55 acres of Grade II listed gardens at Cowley Manor welcome an array of guests each summer for an exciting programme of al fresco events. Enjoy the nostalgia with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on May 27 and Top Gun on June 16, right through to this year’s all-singing, all-dancing hit The Greatest Showman on September 15.

5. ...Over Farm, Gloucester
Just a short drive from Gloucester’s city centre, Over Farm Market is a family-friendly day out (also with an award-winning farm shop) offering an exciting list of seasonal events all year round. The Al Fresco Cinema Company makes an appearance at Over Farm, where you can catch the Goonies on June 7 or A Nightmare on Elm Street on June 8, as well as a number of other films later in the year.

6. Cotswold Airport, Cirencester
In the truly unique setting of Cotswold Airport, cinema-goers can enjoy a jam-packed programme of fantastic array of classic films this summer. From a cinema and camping weekend watching the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost capers Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz on May 25 to a drive-in cinema experience watching, perhaps behind your hands, The Blair Witch Project on October 31 in celebration of Halloween, there’s plenty to enjoy.

7. Sandford Parks Lido, Cheltenham...
Cheltenham’s outdoor swimming pool isn’t just a place to swim a few lengths or for the little ones to enjoy a paddle, Cult Screens will once again make an appearance for crowds to catch a film in a unique setting. In keeping with the location, there’s a choice to watch either The Shape of Water on September 6 or Jaws on September 7. We can promise the viewings will be shark-free!

8. ...Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe
An undeniably beautiful backdrop to an al fresco cinema experience, Cult Screens will also host a screening in the grounds of Sudeley Castle. On August 10, visitors can enjoy the 80s classic, Top Gun on a (hopefully) warm summer’s evening. Perhaps take a blanket just in case!

9. Westonbirt House, Tetbury...
Within 210 acres of stunning parkland sits Westonbirt House, a striking example of Victorian architecture. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the gardens before settling down to watch either Pretty Women on May 5 or The Goonies on May 6, organised by Lost Cinema. Drinks will be available at the on-site bar and picnics are welcome.

10. ...St Michael’s Park, Cirencester
A stone throw’s from the centre of Cirencester, overlooked by the Holy Trinity Church sits St Michael’s Park, a beautiful landscape of greenery. On May 11, The Lost Cinema will host a screening of Dirty Dancing. Viewers can enjoy a picnic and drinks from the on-site bar while enjoying the romantic tale of Baby and Johnny.
