To me home is…

Where my boys are. Wherever my husband Tom [Pitfield], and our little boy, Alfie, are then that's home to me.

What's your earliest Cheshire memory?

When I was a kid we used to do a lot of National Trust places. My dad had this huge folder and I remember we'd have to open it and pick somewhere to go. Then we'd drive out to somewhere like Tatton Park or Dunham Massey for the day.

Where do you head for a health kick?

I train at Ultimate Performance gym either in Alderley Edge or Spinningfields. My PT is called Steve Chambers and he also trains Gemma Atkinson - he's become known as 'Evil Steve' on Instagram thanks to us.

And to indulge?

Well, I try to do healthier indulgences so I love to head to The Garden on Ashley Road in Hale. Their raw cheesecake, which is made with nuts and avocado, is incredible. I've taken friends who've sworn they won't eat anything vegan and have ended up loving it.

Where are you guaranteed to cause some credit card damage?

Muse Boutique in Southport. If you have a special occasion and you want something you know nobody else will be wearing, it's the place to head.

Your most romantic moment in Cheshire?

That would be my wedding. I got married at Colshaw Hall in Over Peover near Knutsford. Event planner, Liz Taylor, organised the whole thing. It had a real Midsummer Nights Dream feel - quite ethereal and twinkly. Everything was perfect, even down to the scent of the candles. I'm a bit of a control freak so it took a lot to hand it over.

If you could move into any building in Cheshire?

Peckforton Castle. We very nearly got married there. In Cheshire you're so spoilt for choice for incredible houses that a castle definitely stands out.

What's your Cheshire beauty secret?

Dr Jonquille Chantry at One aesthetic studio. She does bespoke facials for whatever my skin is going through at the time and the difference is amazing. Even Tom notices when I've had a facial with her.

Your favourite place to relax?

The spa at Hale Country Club. I have reflexology which just zonks me out.

The best place to go wild with friends?

The Ivy in Spinningfields for pink Laurent Perrier.

The finest view in Cheshire?

From The Edge at Alderley Edge. Obvious but true.

I'm never happier than when I'm...

Lying in bed, cuddling my boys. Our Sunday mornings are all about group snuggles. We call it the Little Alfie Sandwich.

Your Cheshire Life in three words?

Family. Outdoors. Food.

See Catherine in new crime drama 15 Days on Channel 5 from May 13th.
