Walk to the View

Take a quiet stroll, hand in hand, to tick off the many romantic spots that the city has to offer. On a Walk to the View you will leave the city centre behind as you follow in the footsteps of the Georgians. Promenade down grand streets, meander along the picturesque canal and amble through the meadows of Bathwick Fields where you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the city.

Take off

For a truly memorable experience, treat a loved one to a hot air balloon ride. With an exhilarating bird’s eye view of Bath, you will glide over remarkable sights such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and lush landscapes, just beyond the city’s boundaries, providing a photogenic backdrop for capturing the moment. High point

You can take a tower tour at Bath Abbey where you get incredible views over the city. Going behind the scenes, you climb the 212 steps to Bath Abbey’s roof, with stops at the ringing and bell chambers to discover their fascinating history. Bath Abbey offers tower tours for two so if you’re planning a proposal, it’s a breathtaking spot to get down on one knee.

Boat Tour

Immerse yourselves in the countryside and one another’s company with a leisurely boat tour along the tranquil River Avon. Pulteney Cruisers depart from the famous Pulteney Bridge and travel through the picturesque countryside of the Avon Valley to the charming village of Bathampton.

Winter picnic

Following a morning of seeing the sights together wrap up warm for winter picnic in Royal Victoria Park or on the Royal Crescent Lawn. On a Saturday you can fill your hamper with all manner of treats from Bath Farmers Market at Green Park Station before finding a secluded corner of the Botanical Gardens.

Sky Walk

For more camera-friendly views, head off on the Bath Skyline Walk, famed for its wild flowers and stunning vistas of the city. On the way you’ll pass Prior Park landscape garden designed by Capability Brown, home to one of just four Palladian bridges in the world, and one of the most photographed spots in Bath.

Ivy Bath Brasserie
