A Sheffield book-keeper who went to work for a tool reclamation business and then bought the company was named Business Woman of the Year in the 2014 Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.
Anne Wilson, now managing director of Numill, Sheffield, also won the SME (Small or Medium size Enterprise) Business Woman of the Year category and was shortlisted in the international category.
Debra White regional director for small businesses at HSBC, who presented the Business Woman of the Year honour, said the winner was a truly inspirational woman.
