One of the highlights of the Southport Flower Show was a glittering Ladies’ Day supported by Lancashire Life.
It started with a champagne breakfast and culminated in a star-studded lunch with a guest list including three famous Lancastrians - Strictly Come Dancing’s Lisa Riley, Carol Klein from Gardeners’ World and Eric Knowles, from the Antiques Roadshow.
The marquee full of guests, welcomed by Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell, also enjoyed an excellent fashion show by Coco Boutique, based in Southport’s Wayfarers’ Arcade, and they staged a raffle to raise funds for the Claire House children’s hospice.
Lisa Riley ran through a few dance steps encouraged by host Paul Crone, from Granada TV. She said: ‘This is a fantastic event and I’m so please Lancashire Life is involved. I’m a proud Lancashire lass so I always pick up a copy of the magazine.’
