A dedicated committee of students worked hard to make this year’s Withington Girls’ School fashion show a huge success. The girls staged an extravaganza of colour with the theme of Stars and Stripes, dazzling in clothes donated from retailers including AX Paris and Boohoo.

Around £4,000 was raised for Barnado’s and Women’s Aid. The models, including boys from the Manchester Grammar School, performed dance routines to popular songs synonymous with the States.

Sixth form student and head of the committee, Martha Adebambo said: ‘It’s fantastic to raise so much money for these very worthy charities. I would like to thank our main sponsor Beaverbrooks as well as the other companies who so generously donated.’
