More than 100 people attended the annual Barton Ball at Barton Grange Hotel, near Preston. It is organised by the Parent Teacher Association of St Lawrence CE Primary School and is the main fundraising event of the year. The £2,500 raised will help the school to complete its current project - a pond and wildlife area in the school grounds.
Julie Goodwin, the headteacher, said: ‘The school is very fortunate to have such a supportive, committed and resourceful PTFA. The ball at Barton Grange Hotel is always a very well attended and it is guaranteed to be a great night out.’ w
