There was plenty to keep the family entertained at this year’s Mottram Show

A welcome break from the rain made the Mottram Show a huge success for both the organisers and the many members of the public who came to enjoy the event. Entertainment this year included a bailing demonstration, which was a huge hit with children and adults alike, and the Savage Skills Stunt team. There were many agricultural sections and events, including the horse section boasting jumping as well hand classes, and there was a record amount of entries in the sheep section.

Malcolm Lewis, president of the show, said: ‘I can confidently say that this year’s summer show went extremely well and we were very satisfied with the level and quality of it. A show such as this takes an enormous amount of organising both before and on the day itself. We are lucky to have such a devoted group of volunteers, so on behalf of the Society my thanks go to all of those involved.’
