Cheshire ladies showed off their fashion prowess at the 2016 Bolesworth International event in Tattenhall

Glamour was on the agenda at the inaugural Ladies’ Day and ‘Women in Sport’ lunch at Bolesworth International. The lunch, hosted by the county’s very own Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, and organised in partnership with Cheshire Life, was held on the first day of the annual showjumping event, which takes place at Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall. Guests enjoyed a three course meal and afternoon tea, and also had the chance to take part in the ‘best-dressed’ Miss Bolesworth Competition 2016, with the style accolade going to Sophie Fairclough from Formby.

Crowds at the the four day event watched not only a range of equestrian attractions, but also live music from bands such as Atomic Kitten and 5ive. The big award of the show went to Dutch showjumper, Michel Hendrix, who won the Bolesworth CSI**** International four-star grand prix on the Sunday on his horse, Baileys.
