Now firmly established as a major fundraising dinner, The Butterfly Ball, a glitzy star-studded event attended by more than 300 people marked the 40th Anniversary of The Prince’s Trust by raising £50,000 to support its work with local young people.

It was held in the presence of its patron, Lord Shuttleworth, Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, at The Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa, and featured a fabulous Moore & Smalley champagne reception and performances from Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Old Men Grooving, and acclaimed vocalists, The Overtones. Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon made a surprise appearance and quickly got everyone in the mood for dancing. Paul Guard’s Dance Band rounded off a memorable evening.
