Heritage was the theme for this year’s Clatterbridge Cancer Charity Ball.

St George’s Hall in Liverpool was the elegant venue for the occasion which took guests back to the hospital’s beginnings in the city centre in 1862.

Diners at the black tie event enjoyed a drinks reception before dinner, an auction and live music from the Backbeat Beatles.

Some £65,000 was raised and this money will go towards the £15m target to build a new cancer hospital in Liverpool, and to improvements to the current site on the Wirral.
