Puppy shows aren’t always noted for their glamour, but then then Holcombe Hunt event isn’t any old show.

The hunt can trace its roots to the 11th century and its hounds are believed to be direct descendents of the Blue Gascoignes, brought across the Channel by the Norman invaders.

That makes the puppy show a red letter day for the hunt with supporters dressing up for the show and enjoying afternoon tea at the kennels while two external judges run the rule over the next generation of these blue-blooded hounds.
